Well... I am way behind on blogging.
Here is a quick over-view of the past several months!
Emma Grace stayed with Nene and Poppy while her mommy, daddy and brother Taylor went to NYC over Thanksgiving - 5 nights. Nene and Poppy had a great time. Emma Grace had a good time too, although she really missed her mommy and daddy. On the night that they got home from NYC and came to pick up Emma Grace, there was lots of hugging and kissing going on between mommy, daddy and Emma Grace. Taylor's comment was - "well, I really didn't miss her all that much!"
Awww.... siblings!
Thanksgiving - we enjoyed having Aaron, Audrey, Lila, Daisy May (our granddog), Sean, Lawson, Britain and Geneva - John's mom, for a big fattening turkey & ham dinner. Sean and the kids stayed the night with us and Lawson and Britain helped Nene and Poppy decorate for Christmas.
We have endured TWO snow storms! The weather fairy is really confused this year - she has AR, Arkansas mixed up with AK, Alaska! Here is hoping that she gets her SH$T together really soon. Did I say that???? Yep - that is how I feel. ;-)
And - you have to love me because it says so in the Bible! Sometimes in life one has to "play" their Bible card.
We celebrated Christmas! I love Christmas! I love the reason for the season and family and celebrating. This year, all of the adults in our family decided to adopt a needy family instead of buying for one another. I love this! We shopped together for our family which was an awesome experience. We all purchased gifts for only the children in our immediate family. It was fun watching our grandbabies open gifts - their little faces tell the story. This new tradition also eliminates any stress related to the holiday. Nene didn't have it totally together at Christmas time this year for various reasons - next year I will make sure that I am prepared so that the little ones get to spend the night at Nene and Poppy's and make our gifts and cookies and other assorted fun stuff.
Also celebrated Christmas with a few girlfriends. Had a dirty santa party - it was really fun! Christmas is such a busy season - hard to pick a date when all can come - think I will shoot for November next year for dirty santa.
Lila loves her tongue! You will see her sweet tongue in several photo's! She also loves her bouncy seat. There is one picture of her sitting in the bouncy and one big blurr as she enjoys her bouncy! Love you sweet Lila Grace!
Poppy and I had front row seats at one of the Arkansas Razorback football games! It was awesome! Our seats are usually in the nose bleed section. However, for this one game, Poppy found front row seats - 30 yard line - on Craigs list. I have included some pics of the front row view.
Emma Grace has started saying Nene and Poppy! Oh my goodness - it is music to my ears! Last night she said, "I love you Nene!" She said it TWO times! Lila is next! My heart is overflowing!
Well - that is a VERY BRIEF overview.
I think I am going to invest in a new camera and some photography lessons. My pictures, for the most part are not clear and have red eye, etc. etc. etc. I end up deleting most of them.
I guess to sum things up - life is good! God is still on His throne! I have the BEST son's a mom could ever hope or dream for - 2 beautiful, kind, loving, perfect daughter-in-loves - and 5 grandchildren that make my heart happy and my world go round.
Yes - Life is GOOD!
One word to sum up the good life - BLESSED!

YEA! A new Nene blog!! Lots of good pics. Did I detect lipstick smooches on Lila's face on the top pic? ;-) You have a beautiful family, Miss Char!
