My sweet Hubby!

I am blessed beyond belief in many ways and on many levels.
Most all blessings are undeserved!
Actually - everything GOOD and PERFECT in our life is undeserved - some of the other junk we (or at least I) bring on myself and deserve.
Mercy and Grace shall follow us all of the days of our lives. That is a promise straight from the Word of God!
I love the definition of Grace - the meaning of Grace as it was used in the original Hebrew writings.
Grace = God's UNDESERVED favor! We are favored by God! And - we didn't have to earn it - we could never earn it - no matter how awesome and wonderful and perfect we are or try to be - GRACE is FREE and it is UNDESERVED!
WOW!
I love God's Grace!
I understand MERCY too!
Mercy = compassion, forgiveness, kindness, understanding, leniency, benevolence!
I am thankful for Mercy in my life - both from God and from the people that I love.

I got this email today from one of the biggest undeserved blessings in my life, JOHN!

John is my sweet hubby - my soulmate, my life partner, the person that I get to share my life with. John knows the very BEST about me and he knows the very WORST about me. And he loves me in spite of it all.

I am thankful!

A MESSAGE TO MYSELF!

We have to keep putting one foot in front of the other when we grow weary on our journey and remind ourselves over and over again, in a variety of ways: we can do it if we never give up.

The truth is that we are never a failure unless we give up.

It will give us strength to soar above life's tests and trials like a majestic eagle. Increase our determination, and teach us how to turn adversities into opportunities.
When we don't succeed at something, many times we do not have the courage to try again-and we settle for less than we could achieve or enjoy if we would simply keep trying.

So NO MATTER what comes your way, REFUSE TO QUIT.
God Will NEVER GIVE UP ON US!~

Thanks for sharing this with me today Tammy.
Tammy is my friend and fellow sales rep. Sales are tough right now.
BUT
We can do this!!!!!

My Sweet Babies!

Oh my little precious grandchildren!!!
I have some catching up to do.
The past few weeks, Poppy and I have had several occassions to spend time with Lawson, Taylor, Britain and Emma Grace. We absolutely cherish these times.

* Lawson was in the first grade play at his school - The Princess and the Frog. It was oh so cute! Lawson was a knight - he is going to be famous some day. Well, actually, he is already famous at this house.

* Lawson and Britain stayed two nights with Poppy and Nene during the week. I got to wake them up each morning and love on them first thing. It is an awesome feeling when they open their eyes and realize where they are. Their little faces break into a HUGE smile - then little arms reach for my neck and the best words come from their sweet mouths - "NENE!!!!" Awww... they are as happy to be with me as I am with them. Great feeling!

* I fixed Britain's hair for school. That is a MAJOR accomplishment for me. Remember I never had little girls. Usually when I do Brit's hair it only stays in for about an hour - not good. BUT - I am getting better. Brit told me that her hair stayed in all day and her bow didn't even come out one single time! That is probably one of the first things she shared with me when I picked her up after playschool. She knew that would make me smile.

* Taylor had a birthday and a sweet little birthday dinner celebration with his family. He is FIVE years old! Doesn't seem possible! Seems like just last month that Manna and I were standing in the hallway with our ears pressed up against the delivery room door waiting for his arrival. We couldn't take the pressure - when we heard him cry for the first time, we opened the door just a crack and looked inside to see our new grandson! He was and is beautiful!

* Nene's babies LOVE to create artwork! They are all so creative. I just pull out a hodge-podge of paint, yarn, furry, sparkly things, crayons and glue and they make awesome memories.

OK - that is a very brief over view.
Here are some pictures - ENJOY!!!!! I know I did.
(my captions aren't in the right place-but I know you all will figure it out!)

Bless the Lord!

There are things in our life that are beyond our control.

There are things in life that will cause your heart to ache. And - they are beyond your control. There are things that happen in your life that will cause you to fear.

Be of good cheer! I'm trying to. ;-0

Psalm 34:1-8 Amplified Bible

I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

My life makes its boast in the Lord, let the humble and afflicted hear and be glad.

O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.

I sought the Lord and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

They looked to Him and were radiant, there faces shall never blush for shame or be confused.

This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his trouble (fear).

The Angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him (who revere and worship Him with awe) and each of them He delivers.

O taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who trusts and takes refuge in Him.

Never under estimate the power of the Risen Savior in your life! He is willing and able to help in your time of need.

Look to Him and allow Him to work in your life, in your situation and deliver you.

Do you know Jesus - does He live in your heart?

February 10, 1974 is the day I was born.
It is the day that my life REALLY began.

Oh – Charolette – you were born on May 5, 1953 – you are almost 56 years old! What are you talking about here – have you lost your mind???

Nope – February 10, 1974 is the day that I met my Savoir, Jesus – the day I was BORN-AGAIN by the Spirit of God – it is the day that I invited “HIM” into my heart, it is the day that He erased and forgot and forgave all of my sins, the day that I got to “start my life over” – the day that I became a “new creation in Christ Jesus!”

That is the day that I started living my life as the “REAL” me - the Charolette that God intended me to be.

That is the day that I was accepted, just the way I am, into God’s family – I became one of His kids – I became His responsibility.

I am so very THANKFUL for that day – I was lost but now am found!

February 10, 1974 is the day that I was made “whole.” It was the day that I was made “perfect” in His sight.

Well you say, Charolette, you are not even close to being perfect – what are you talking about?

It is the day that He started a “good work in me” and He promises not to stop until I am perfected in the flesh just as I am already perfect in the spirit.

I have made many mistakes and a few wrong turns on my journey with Jesus – I haven’t always acted and reacted in His Love – for all of my sins I am truly sorry and have repented.

JESUS – “He will never leave me or forsake me” – He will never reject me – He will always love me with PERFECT love – He will always accept me – He will never turn His back on me – He will always forgive me – He will never stop teaching me – He won’t ever “DROP” me or let me down –

I never have to fear Him or be afraid in His presence – NEVER!

I am just feeling truly thankful today for who I am in Christ Jesus!

Do you know Jesus - does He live in your heart?
